Placing Powders

Magical powders give a cleansing odor to the room or the person. Blowing powder has traditionally been a practice to clean an area or property of unwanted energy, evil, entities, but also to put an end to unfavorable conditions, and to gain happiness, love, money, or prosperity.

Sister Moon

Witches are closely linked to the moon, and this is not just coincidence. The moon is considered one of the strongest forces to influence magic energy. The waxing and waning of the moon affects the tides, our menstrual cycles, our moods, and the like. If you know how these tides work, they can also influence our magic.

Dirt and Dust

Earth is an element that stands for grounding, all forms of nature, money and prosperity, growth, business, protection and fertility, rules and responsibility. But also sensations, decay, patience, stability, strength, health, warmth and comfort, animals and their instincts, farming and physical labor. If you want to represent earth on your altar, you can use a pentacle, stones, or a bowl of earth or salt.

Witches Besom

A Witches Broom, also known as a besom, is a broom that is created from twigs or herbs. It is traditionally used for "sweeping" out negative energy and in positive energy. It doesn't actually touch the floor as it is used for energy and not actual dirt. Usually they are small, the size of a whisk, or up to 4 feet long.
